How to Floss

Have breakfast first. Yank, tug, wrestle with the billions of fibers until ripping them off at the metal mouth. Wrap the ends of the floss on two fingers on opposite hands and look in the mirror. Smile to remind yourself of your happiness - you are taking the time to floss, after all. The gentle thrusts of the floss should mimic the ocean: down, side, up, side.
Your fingers, reddening with the decreased circulation finally become blossoming with color, which reminds your gums they are swollen and also red. There is only blood from your mouth; you spit it out onto the stain strewn white porcelain sink while turning on the facet to flow the blood, your daily sacrifice, down the drain.
Wipe off food particles from the waxy string. Wipe off that frown. Rinse with water that now feels so free gushing through the freshly carved stones. Now you are ready to brush, kiss someone, and start your day.
